Video: Nothing to see here, just a bear dancing with a flagpole on a golf course

And when we say bear, we mean an actual bear; this is not a loose reference to the Golden Bear himself, Jack Nicklaus.

And when we say bear, we mean an actual bear; this is not a loose reference to the Golden Bear himself, Jack Nicklaus.

Golf might not be the thrilling of sports all the time but every now and again you come across some fairly crazy things on the golf course. Yesterday, for example, Fabrizio Zanotti was knocked out by a fellow pro’s golf ball on the European Tour. A few months back, meanwhile, Pablo Larrazabal had to jump into a lake at Malaysian Open after being stung repeatedly by a swarm of hornets.

Odd as those incidents were on the professional tour, we don’t know how the likes of Rory and Tiger would react if they approached a green only to find it surrounded by a number of bears, one of whom, a baby bear, seemed to be having awful craic with the flagpole, as was the case in Canada in recent days.

The bizarre scene in the video above happened in the Fairmont Hot Springs resort in British Columbia and having obviously not had enough fun with the flag, the bear in question then made off with the ball of one of the players who appeared to have a decent shot at a birdie.

Guess he’ll just have to grin and bear it, wha? *JOE is sorry, so very, very sorry.
