Video: Relive the Mayo v Kerry epic all over again through this excellent Sunday Game montage

Can they possibly produce something as good if not better in Limerick on Saturday?

Can they possibly produce something as good if not better in Limerick on Saturday?

Most pundits predicted it would be close, but they probably had no idea how accurate those forecasts would be as Mayo and Kerry played out the game of the Championship so far in Croke Park on Sunday.

When star man Lee Keegan was sent off and Mayo trailed by five points at half-time the game looked up for the Green and Red before they staged a remarkable second half comeback, which was then turned on its head as a Kieran Donaghy-inspired Kerry levelled matters at the end and nearly won it when Bryan Sheehan’s last-gasp effort from way out came up just short.

A draw was a probably a fair result at the end of the day and it does mean that they’ll have to go to head to head again this weekend, but before all that, why not relive one of the best games of the modern era with a look back at the typically excellent reflection of events on The Sunday Game on Sunday night.

Saturday evening can’t come quick enough.
