With one of the safest pair of hands in world rugby, who better to leave in charge of your kids than Leinster, Ireland and Lions star Rob Kearney?

With one of the safest pair of hands in world rugby, who better to leave in charge of your kids than Leinster, Ireland and Lions star Rob Kearney?

Leinster and Ireland fans, fret not, Rob isn’t considering a career change just yet; he was merely on hand to provide a helping hand for Dublin mum Tanya King, the winner of Aviva Car Insurance Mum’s Taxi Competition.

As part of his duties for the day, Rob had to taxi Tanya’s two boys to and from school and while he was there he played a little rugby with them and their chums, who, no doubt were fairly taken aback; it’s not every day Rob Kearney comes to your school for a kickabout after all.

He also dealt fairly well with some challenging questions from a pair of very inquisitive lads, including one which went along the following lines: ‘Rob my Mum and my sister say you’re a stud muffin. Is that a type of cake?’

Rob would hardly have expected such a tough task only hours after trying to take down Toulon away from home, but he handled it as well as he has the numerous Garryowen kicks that opposition players continue to (ill-advisedly) send down his throat.
