That’s quarter of a mile, folks. A QUARTER OF A MILE!!!
We all know Rory McIlroy is good at golf, with two Majors and 15 top level tournaments on his CV so far, but the Hollywood native may have even surprised himself at the Scottish Open this afternoon.
McIlroy shot a brilliant 64 to leave him on seven under so he’s obviously hitting the ball pretty well at the moment but what he did on the 13th was extraordinary.
McIlroy smashed his drive 436-yards. That’s 39 yards longer than the longest drive on the PGA Tour all year, and 55 yards longer than any drive Rory has hit this season on the PGA Tour.
