Anyone watching Sky Sports News last night would have gotten a small surprise when listening to the latest injury update on Leinster two star backs.
Is there something in the water they are giving to newsreaders? Maybe it’s gin? Firstly we had the BBC newsreader who thought Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘enjoyed a lot of sex’ at Manchester United and now we have a slip by the normally reliable Sky Sports News.
In the process of updating us on the fitness of Brian O’Driscoll and Rob Kearney, the most important news of the day obviously, the presenter sent Leinster supporters’ hearts fluttering by suggesting that BOD and Rob had gone on the lash in London rather than staying in the hotel to prepare for the challenge of Ulster.
Thankfully, he quickly corrected his ‘pissed/passed’ fit gaffe but whatever way the game goes this afternoon, Sky Sports News may just have been 24 hours too early with this bit of news.
