Liverpool fans will always adore Steven Gerrard because their former captain showed some serious balls during his time at the club, the finest example was arguably that famous second half against AC Milan in Istanbul, but that’s not the only time that Gerrard has put his body on the line for Liverpool.
The LA Galaxy midfielder was a guest on The Clare Balding Show this week and comedian John Bishop took great pleasure in bringing up an injury that no man will ever want to sustain.
Take a look at Gerrard as he recounts a very memorable injury that he suffered while playing against Bournemouth in the FA Cup. Even the beleaguered Jose Mourinho managed to get a rise out of it.
Skip to 07:25 and prepare to shudder and laugh in equal measure. Fair play to Gerrard though because he took the joke better than most people ever would.
