If he ever gets tired of the goalkeeping then a change of codes is certainly on the cards for the Manchester United netminder.
It’s probably a bit lazy to suggest that all goalkeepers should be decent at basketball considering that they have to be quite good with their hands, but David de Gea would certainly be able to handle himself on the court if this little video showreel is anything to go by.
De Gea uploaded a brief Instagram video of himself and a couple of teammates (looks like Angel di Maria and Juan Mata to us) shooting some hoops at the Manchester United training ground and while he’s not quite reaching LeBron’s standards just yet, it’s pretty damn impressive all the same, all the more so when seen in super slow-motion.
