Video: The Aviva Premiership ‘Try of the Season’ shortlist isn’t too shabby

Logovi’i Mulipola gets our vote as we’re suckers for a front row breaking tackles and scoring.

It is that time of the year again, that time when you get lots and lots of ‘end of season’ compilations. In fairness, most are well worth a watch but now and again you get an exceptional one and this list of the six best tries in the Aviva Premiership is definitely in the latter camp.

With flowing team moves like Jamie Elliott’s for Gloucester and Kelly Brown’s for Saracens to individual brilliance like Christian Wade or Nick Abendanon, each of these tries is sumptuous.

However, if we had to pick, we’d vote for the final try, Logovi’i Mulipola’s for Leicester against Exeter. It is a pretty sweet team move but seeing the big man take the ball at speed, dismiss an attempted tackle or two before crossing the line is just great.
