Video: The new Guinness ad about Munster beating the All-Blacks is suitably epic

Munster fans, you’ll never tire of watching this.

Munster fans, you’ll never tire of watching this.

Munster fans don’t *cough* like to talk about it much *cough* but back in 1978 they pulled off one of the most famous results in the history of Irish rugby when defeating the mighty All-Blacks in Thomond Park without conceding a single point in the process.

That famous day is revisited in the latest of a series of Guinness ads (check out the Jonny Wilkinson tribute here) and it has to be said they’ve made a fine job of it, with some enhanced slow-motion footage and a fittingly inspirational narrative voice and background soundtrack contributing to a fairly epic reminder of one of the greatest days in the fabled history of Munster Rugby.

If this doesn’t make the hair stand on the back of Munster fans’ necks, we don’t know what will.
