We're getting goosebumps already...

We’re getting goosebumps already…

Europe begin the defence of their Ryder Cup crown on Friday, as Gleneagles plays host to one of golf’s most prestigious tournaments.

Paul McGinley’s men go into the tournament as favourites having won seven of the last nine tournaments, while the home location seems to have an impact; Europe hasn’t lost on home soil in 21 years.

That being said, the course was designed by Jack Nicklaus, so its size and layout should help the American players, while the last five Ryder Cups have been won by the side with the lowest (best) average world ranking.

The tournament really could go either way, so the home crowd will definitely have a role to play in encouraging and supporting the European players.

Take a look at what’s in store for some of the worlds best golfers when they step onto the first tee.

We cannot wait until Friday.

All of a sudden we’re getting nostalgic memories of Darren Clarke stepping onto the first tee a the K-Club. Wonderful.
