This is some really ugly stuff from Coyotes goalie Mike Smith

Being an ice hockey goaltender/net minder/stick-wielding-guardian means that you get plenty of extra padding and protection, but sometimes all that gear can betray you when you’re least expecting it.

That’s what happens to Phoenix Coyotes ‘keeper Mike Smith after the puck ends up in the air, floating over his head and then falls, against all odds, right into the back of his pants.

That’s not all though, as he’s trying to react and save the ball, he ends up falling to his knees, and with ice being slippy, slides back into his goal with the puck still held in his trousers. After a bit of deliberation the refs decided that it was indeed a legitimate score, and Smith was left looking pretty silly, as his team lost in overtime to this goal.
