Giggs, Giggs will tear you apart
Before all the league titles, Champions League winners medals, incredible personal and team titles, endless appearance records, countless traumatised full-backs, hairdryer treatment from Fergie and the hairiest chest since Tarzan, Ryan Giggs was just a precocious young teenager that was looking to make a name for himself at the Theatre of Dreams.
We think it’s fair to say that the Welsh wizard went on to have a decent enough career at Old Trafford but it all started in the 35th minute on March 2nd, ’91 when Giggs came on for Dennis Irwin in a game that United lost 2-0 to Everton.
Giggs’ teammates on that day are a real blast from the past:
Les Sealy, Mal Donaghy, Gary Pallister, Denis Irwin, Clayton Blackmore, Lee Martin, Darren Ferguson, Brian McClair, Lee Sharpe, Paul Ince and Danny Wallace all started the game.
Take a look at this footage as a Stretford End legend is born.
