France brushed aside Switzerland 5-1 in World Cup Group E tonight. Oliver Giroud, Blaise Matuidi and Mathieu Valbuena put them three-nil up at half-time and Karim Benzema and Moussa Sissoko put them five up after 73 minutes.
To be fair to the Swiss they didn’t pack it in completely and they pulled back two consolation goals with Blerim Dzemaili and Granit Xhaka.
