It seems that people in the States also spotted the story because it got a mention on WWE Raw this past Monday night.
Nikki Bella (above) was taking on AJ Lee in a Divas match and after Nikki smashed AJ in the face, the commentator John “Bradshaw” Layfield jumped in with this line.
Layfield says “Phil Bardsley knocking out Wayne Rooney.” No doubt the lads will be delighted.
