After arriving late to yesterday’s press conference, Conor McGregor wasted no time in making his presence felt as the trashtalk escalated ahead of his fight with Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. In a memorable presser, McGregor plucked the lightweight belt from Alvarez’s table while Dana White did his very best to quell a potential scuffle.
This is all part of the fight game though, and as many of you will know, The Notorious reigns supreme when it comes to trading insults and verbal jabs.
The duo continued their war of words on ESPN’s SportCenter, and the Dubliner was the clear winner.
The segment starts with a fairly crap insult from Alvarez about McGregor’s mink coat, but the Philadelphia fighter reckons that McGregor does have cardio issues and that he’s the righ man to exploit them.
The best part of the interview is at the 3:10 mark though as McGregor absolutely rips into Alvarez.
“You’ve been over in Japan or some shit. You’ve been fighting bums all your life. You’ve never been on this stage. You’ve never been against a guy like me, you’re an absolute bum . You’re a shitehawk. You get dropped in every fight. Look at your face. You’re the most beat up guy there is” McGregor says.
