WATCH: Dan Biggar goaded Jonathan Sexton after his yellow card last night

All part of the on-field mind games…

We’re beginning to come to terms with the disappointment of last night’s loss to Wales in the Six Nations.

One thing we can say for certain is that the game was not lost through lack of effort, but rather a lack of accuracy at crucial stages in the game, especially in the opposition 22.

Ireland’s lack of line-out options against a very strong defensive Welsh line-out came back to haunt them as Alun Wyn-Jones, Justin Tipuric and later, Luke Charteris caused havoc when Rory Best was attempting his darts.

But one of the key moments of the match was the yellow card which Jonathan Sexton received shortly before half-time when he didn’t roll away with Wales inches from the Irish line.

As Sexton bounced to his feet and was faced with the flash of yellow from Wayne Barnes, Welsh out-half Dan Biggar had some words with the Leinster man as he began his march to the sideline.

Skip to the 1:10 mark and turn up your volume to hear Biggar say: “Cheers Johnny boy, have a good day son.”
