Being a proud Clara man, Shane Lowry will know just how special an All-Ireland title is to any county because as you may know, the incredibly likable golfer is the son of Offaly’s All-Ireland winning footballer Brendan Lowry.
It has been 18 years since Liam McCarthy was last draped in the green, white and gold of The Faithful County though and while Lowry would undoubtedly love to see it return to Offaly, the 2007 Irish Amateur Champion was more than happy to celebrate Tipperary’s success with some of their fans.
After registering an extremely impressive performance at this year’s US Open, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Lowry celebrating another title win, just like these fans did this afternoon.
