WATCH: This Mayo school had a hilarious Diarmuid Connolly inspired fundraiser today

That’s one way to do it…

Mayo take on Dublin in the All-Ireland Football Final replay this weekend and hype for the game is building nicely.

We just hope that Joe Brolly is less disgusted with Michael Lyster come 5pm on Saturday evening.

Down in Ballinrobe Community School, the transition year class have come up with a clever way to earn some money for their mini company, with the help of some of their teachers.

The main students involved are Paul Gibbons, Patrick McGinty, John Crumlish, Matthew Halloran and Pearce Munroe were tasked with organising  fundraisers to benefit the local community.

They decided to play upon the love the Mayo people have of Diarmuid Connolly by offering up a chance to kick a ball at Diarmo, for the very reasonable price of €1 for three shots.

Student Eoin Gilraine stepped up and absolutely knocked his block off…

The whole thing would not have been possible without the help of the teachers involved, Ms Egan and Mr Conlon. We love the creativity of the fundraising down in Mayo.

Cheers to Andy Walsh for sending this our way.
