WATCH: UFC legend BJ Penn was violently dispatched in UFC main event this morning

Just nasty…

BJ Penn made his long awaited comeback to the UFC in the early hours of this morning (Irish time) following his retirement back in 2014 after a one-sided loss to Frankie Edgar.

He returned to the Octagon against Yair Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 103 in Phoenix, Arizona and it didn’t end well for the UFC legend.

After being hit with numerous strikes early, Yair had Penn hurt but the Hawaiian hung on to last until the end of the first round.

But when Rodriguez connected with a front kick followed up by a right cross early in the second, BJ was hurt again and suffered somewhat of a mauling before referee John McCarthy eventually intervened to end the contest.

Rodriguez, The Ultimate Fighter Latin America 1 champion, now has eight straight wins to his name and is (6-0) in the UFC.

What a performance from the 24-year-old…
