You have to hand it to London Irish, they won’t take any shi* off anyone. Their new sponsors Pump Technology on the other hand are a different story.
The Aviva Premiership club announced recently a deal with the specialists in providing pumps for pumping waste water and sewage, a deal that will take them up to the end of the 2017/18 season.
There are a couple of things that caught our attention over this deal. One, Pump Technology have one of the best slogans we have seen in recent times. “Pumping Poo with Panache” is a fantastic blend of fact, humour and alliteration.
Secondly, the club have announced that North-West segment of Madejski Stadium is to be known as ‘Poo Corner’.
We don’t care if it is a marketing ploy and we don’t care that it isn’t an official renaming of the stand, it proves that somewhere in sponsorship and sport, some people are willing to have the shi*s and giggles. 
The deal between the two organisations is also the longest of any sponsorship by a club in the English top-flight.
We just hope that Irish don’t have a poor run of results at any stage during the campaign, particularly at home as supporters could have a field day.
