The much fancied Germans will be expected to beat Algeria in Porto Alegre tonight and we think they’ll do just that with the help of a Bastian Schweinsteiger goal.
Okay, the Germans maybe haven’t been as impressive in their last two outings against Ghana and USA, but they’ve still got the quality all over the squad to win this tournament outright.
It was a tough group and their systematic dismantling of the Portuguese was a clinical display of German efficiency at its ruthless best. They will beat the Algerians tonight, of that we have no doubt. Algeria have far exceeded anyone’s expectations getting this far, but in fairness, they were in probably the weakest group of the lot.
The Bayern Munich midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger (pic above) was impressive in the win over the USA in their last group match and we feel he will get his first goal of the tournament tonight in a German win. The price on offer for Schweini to score and Germany to win is a very good-looking 4/1.
