Yesterday didn’t go so well, but hey, we’re extra confident today.
Well, we got burned yesterday by the Brazil and Mexico game, with Ochoa’s great showing didn’t help either, but JOE is nothing if not persistent and in the true spirit of a title-chasing (and losing) Liverpool side, we go again.
Tonight it’s over to the Maracana and the meeting of Spain and Chile in Group B.
The World Cup holders are wounded, if not completely broken, after their opening 5-1 defeat to the Netherlands and coach Vicente del Bosque is expected to make a raft of changes to his starting XI.
With the likes of Pedro, David Villa and Koke expected to come in and freshen things up, we simply cannot see Spain recording anything but a win – despite the quality of the opposition, and the fact that Alexis Sanchez will be more than familiar with an out-of-form Gerard Piqué.
Chile’s attacking verve leaves nothing to be desired, and they certainly won’t roll over, but we’re fully expecting Vicente del Bosque’s side to prevail as the game enters its latter stages.
With all of that in mind, we’re going for the draw at half-time/Spain full-time at odds of 10/3.
