Rockwell are one game away from three-in-a-row in the Munster Senior Cup after beating St. Munchin’s College yesterday and this pic of the victor’s James Maxwell is just great.
The lads of St Munchin’s College must be sick of the sight of their Cashel rivals Rockwell. The Tipp school beat them in last year’s Munster Senior Cup final by a single point, 6-5, and they inflicted another heart-breaking defeat on them yesterday.
In a very tight semi-final played at Clanwilliam FC the teams were tied 6-6 in second-half injury time when full-back Steve McMahon found his way over the line to win the game at the death. A conversion by Rory Parata made the final score 13-6, and now the three-in-a-row for Rockwell is on.
As always, there was some great photos at the game via INPHO (see above too) and this one below, of front row James Maxwell performing the rarely seen offload/wedgie combo during the game, is class.
