The Malaysia Grand Prix was filled with controversy earlier, as tensions ran high within the Red Bull team.
By Adrian Collins
The Malaysia Grand Prix finished in controversy today as two of Red Bull's drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber had a bit of a confrontation.
The problem arose after Sebastian Vettel defied team orders and passed Webber, and while it made for some exciting viewing, it was incredibly unpopular within Red Bull, given he ignored team orders.
Vettel said afterwards that he “owes an explanation” to Webber, but Webber's father has said he believes that his son will be hugely frustrated by today's incidents.
That tension was pretty clear at the end of the race as he decided to vent his anger by sticking his middle finger up at Vettel, all captured thanks to the in car cameras.
Scenes were tense before they headed out to the podium afterwards, as you can see in this clip, with Webber saying “multi 21” which was Red Bull code to stay in their positions.
Afterwards, Webber was telling the media there was a plan before the race for how the scenario would play out, but Vettel said he was not aware of it.
There's sure to be plenty of fall out after this, with Webber saying that he's been thinking a lot since the incident happened and that “we'll have to see” what happens.
