Apple has fixed the bug that’s been making your iPhone freeze

Finally!

JOE

Phew, we were starting to get worried for about five minutes there.

Some iPhone users were reporting issues with a recent software update which caused their phones to crash or freeze when they tried to click links in the Safari browser, as well as some links in other apps.

But thankfully, Apple has acted fast to fix the problem with a new new update, purely designed to get rid of that particular bug.

As TechCrunch reports, one area affected by the bug is the recent development whereby clicking a YouTube link takes you directly to your YouTube app rather than opening a new browser page.

The issue has not been affecting all iPhone users, but enough flagged it up on the Apple forums for the company to take notice.

It’s certainly good to see Apple act so quickly to resolve the issue, and hopefully this will be the last time such a problem is encountered.
