For the first time ever, you can watch Apple’s iPhone launch event live on Twitter

Rory Cashin

Apple Athenry

The event kicks off at 10am PDT (so 5pm here).

Normally if you wanted to see what new toys Apple have in store to completely drain our bank accounts, then you would either need to be invited to the launch event in person (which… probably isn’t going to happen), or you could watch it go down live on the Apple website.

However, for the first time ever, and obviously in an attempt to get more viewership for the launch, Apple will be making the launch viewable via their Twitter account.

It kicks off at 10am local time, which will be 5pm here, so just in time for everyone heading home from work/college/school to start making the decision of how many meals they can skip in order to afford the new iPhone.

Speaking of which, the first details of the – count ’em, not one, not two, but THREE – new iPhones were leaked earlier in the week, along with folk expecting a new iWatch, and more besides.

You can read all about them here and then check back in a few hours and see how accurate those predictions were…
