Apple has announced it is introducing new red models of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

The special edition phone will help benefit (PRODUCT)RED, the HIV/AIDS charity which Apple has worked with a number of times in the past.

The phones will boast a bright red aluminum finish with a black front panel and an unspecified portion of proceeds from sales of the phones will go to the charity.

Apple didn’t announce a red version of the iPhone X, the most high-end of its phones, and instead will launch a red leather case for that phone.

The iPhone 8 has similar features, however, including support for wireless charging, Apple’s newest processor and the company’s latest cameras.

Apple is taking preorders for the new phones starting today, Tuesday, 10 April, and will start shipping them on Friday.

The phones will cost the same as the standard iPhone.
