Fortnite servers are down indefinitely and gamers are very annoyed about it

Epic Games, the makers of Fortnite, have confirmed that the game is currently down for the foreseeable future for “emergency maintenance” due to upgrades taking place on their database.

The massively popular game – which sees 100 at-first weaponless players dropped onto an island to face off in a battle royale – has been down since early this morning, infuriating plenty of late-night players.

While there was no explanation at first, Epic have since confirmed that maintenance is taking place on the game, though no official time or date has been given for its return.

Understandably, this news has not been welcomed by devoted fans of the game, who have reacted to the news with a mix of annoyance and disbelief.
