It turns out that we’ve all been saving the battery on our iPhones the wrong way

Now this is interesting

Now this is interesting.

There’s nothing worse than getting stuck on a bus with a dead iPhone and an empty battery is also the reason why I keep missing Jennifer Lawrence’s calls.

Sure, that’s why I haven’t talked to her.

When the battery on our trusted iPhone is on it’s last legs, most users will close down the apps that are running on it by double clicking the home button and swiping up. It’s the normal protocol.

Apparently, there’s another method that actually preserves the battery in your phone for a longer period though.

The experts/geeks say that this ‘swiping up’ method doesn’t actually save your battery because the act of opening these apps up again ultimately drains more energy.

Instead, the best practice is to go into settings, general and tap on background app refresh to see the list of apps that are running in the background and draining your battery.

You can then switch the setting off entirely to save power, or switch off individual apps.
