There has been no escaping The Barbie Poster over the last 24 hours.
Between the one million(ish) new variations of the Barbie Poster and the new Barbie Trailer (oh, and Trump being arrested), yesterday pretty much felt like The Simpsons had predicted the future again:
Is it possible for something to immediately become a cult classic? We're not sure, but Barbie is putting that idea to the test, especially considering what feels like one billion(ish) self-made variations of the Barbie Poster arriving on social media in the last 24 hours or so.
In a move of pure marketing genius, Warner Bros. have released a Barbie Selfie Generator, which allows you to pop yourself (or anyone you can get a picture of) into the frame of the eye-popping Barbie poster.
Simply upload an image (or take a selfie), choose from the Barbie or Ken taglines, edit that to your own liking, move about the placement or change the colouring, and you're done! The entire thing takes about 30 seconds, and you can do that right here.
Meanwhile, if you've missed it somehow, you can check out the new teaser trailer for the movie below, which will star Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Ncuti Gatwa, Dua Lipa, Nicola Coughlan, Will Ferrell, Michael Cera, Emerald Fennell, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emma Mackay, America Ferrera, Helen Mirren and loads more.
Barbie arrives in Irish cinemas on Friday 21 July, the exact same date as Christopher Nolan's epic Oppenheimer starring Cillian Murphy and the other half of Hollywood.
