The Fidelio as it prefers to be known is the perfect bedroom partner. The dock’s distinctive 360 degrees design and circular base ensure a rich omni-directional sound that swallows any surrounding area. This actually makes a huge difference as the sound travels further and deeper.
The docking speaker itself is compact enough to be brought anywhere you like and is thus ideal for business trips, holidays or popping round to the neighbour’s for a listening session. Once you’re ready for a snooze the device has three light settings – time display only (as shown above), or two variants of a soothing night light.
Fidelio’s auto clock synchronization is another plus – it ensures you don’t need to manually set the time and for the frequent flyers the device seems targeted towards, that’s a huge time saver. Philips are also boasting that its neodymium speakers provide a “pure balanced soundâ€, which is exactly what we at JOE like from our neodymium.
Additional functionality from the docking speaker is provided via Philips’Â dedicated Fidelio app from the App Store, which is free to download.
The app allows you to easily browse and play tunes from your mobile music library, with additional features such as multiple music alarms and a 5-band equalizer. You can even set your Fidelio’s alarm to wake you up to your favourite music while displaying any photo from your library.
