There’s constantly been talk about the release of a ‘budget’ iPhone at a cheaper price, and this could finally be some evidence that it’s on the way
It’s not much to go on, but Chinese blogger 7mob, who apparently has connections with the factory where Apple produce their goods, is believed to have gotten his hands on this casing for the new budget iPhone.
This looks like it confirms, as we reported a few weeks back, that there would be a whole range of colours, so this seems at least to be a bit more solid evidence that they’ll have a few different shades on offer. Then again, it could be a lad with a bit of green paint and a few stickers.
There have been a lot of images recently that claim to be the real deal, as well as the fact that these rumours are always floating around, so take this with a pinch of salt we advise.
According to the lads at Digital Spy, this budget iPhone is part of Apple’s plan to break into emerging markets where their products are seen as too expensive for the average consumer, so that part makes sense at least, but we’ll believe it when we see it.
