Samsung S21

The first big smartphone reveal of 2021.

Samsung has announced its latest slate of flagships with the the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

All of the new devices in the S21 series are 5G ready and you’ll notice that there’s been some big design changes from previous series, especially in the camera array.

It’s probably easiest to divide the three phones into two categories, the first of which includes the S21 and S21 Plus which aims to bring users a genuine flagship experience, while not being quite as heavy (but still pretty heavy) on your wallet. The S21 starts from €879 and goes up to €929 while the S21 starts at €1089 and goes up to €1139.

Meanwhile the S21 Ultra, the pinnacle of Samsung’s innovation, leaves no stone unturned and tries to offer users everything they could want in a smartphone. Of course, there’s a price tag which reflects this starting at €1299 and rising to €1479.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra features a 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and has a better processor, display and cameras than it’s smaller brethren.

It’s got a new sensor for better low light images and it will be the first Galaxy S phone to support Samsung’s S Pen stylus.

The S21 and S21 Plus which come with 6.2″ and 6.7″ AMOLED 2X Infinity-O screens respectively.

Their full specs can be read here.

“This year, we’re using technology to stay connected more than ever before. With many of us working remotely and spending more time at home, we wanted to deliver a seamless smartphone experience that empowers you to share your world and connect with the people that matter the most,” said Conor Pierce, Corporate Vice President for Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland.

“2021 marks a new era for the Galaxy range. We believe this year will be the real test of the power of 5G and we are committed to getting it in the hands of the next generation of innovators. With 5G enabled across the entire S21 Series, Galaxy S21 5G and Galaxy S21+ 5G offer the latest flagship experience to help you get the most out of every moment.”

Pre-orders for the S21 Ultra 5G, the S21 Plus and the S21 open today and the device will be available from January 29 from Samsung channels and retailers.
