These were the most increased Google searches in Ireland over the past month

A lot has happened over the past month in the world and it can all get a little bit confusing, so sometimes a nice little Google search can save yourself a lot of pondering. While these are not the most Googled things over the last month, they are the subjects which received the biggest boost in searches compared to previous months, according to Google Trends. Unsurprisingly, much of what people were searching online was to do with the American presidential election, especially following Donald Trump's surprise victory over Hillary Clinton. Search terms included "US Election," "American Election," and "Melania Trump." However, it seems that people in Ireland have a firm interest in the love life of the British Royal Family or, more specifically, Meghan Markle, the actress who is dating Prince Harry. Searches for the Suits star went through the roof over the past 30 days increasing by 1,900%. One thing we can take from the Google searches is the influence of the Late Late Show, with a certain person whom we refuse to name making number two on the list. Conor McGregor is slightly lower on the list than you may have expected, but that's because he's a heavily Googled figure all year round. Hence his spike was smaller in comparison to others.
