This college specific Tinder-style app could be a game changer

Getting to know your classmates is about to get easier

Looking for the next great app idea? Here it is…

Princeton University graduate, Arjun Landes, has designed a new dating app that works a lot like Tinder, but aims to set up Princeton alumni interested in meeting each other.

The free app’s description says, “Whether you’re long in the tooth or just a cub, download to chat and meet up with fellow Tigers and Tigresses!”

So why set up a college specific dating app? Speaking to Bloomberg, Landes said: “The truth is there are a lot of people who aren’t comfortable being on Tinder because there are a lot of ‘randoms’ out there.

“It made (people) more comfortable using it, the novelty of it, and knowing that it was only Princeton people.”

According to NJ.com, HeyTiger asks users to input their height, graduation year, major and the fraternity/sorority they belonged to. The info is then filtered by gender and age and users can tap on an orange heart to begin a conversation.

We just wonder how long it will take before we see Tinder-style apps dedicated specifically to the various Irish colleges.

Excuse us for a second while we look up ‘how to make an app’ on YouTube…
