Bebo have announced their comeback, and we must admit this is a ballsy video with which to do it
You might remember that a few weeks ago we brought you the news that Michael Birch, co-founder of Bebo had bought the company back and was hoping to bring it back to life with a bit of a re-brand and some good old fashioned elbow grease.
Well it seems that the process has begun, and they announced their return today with this video that looks back on the past of Bebo, and the beginning of a new chapter for the social networking site.
The whiteboard, as the video says, was a great invention that allowed for some serious creativity. Pretty much everyone ended up drawing penises on it though, making arguably the single biggest collection of cock and balls ever recorded, as Birch himself claims in the video.
As of today, August 7th 2013, the old Bebo.com website has been taken down, but only to make way for the new Bebo. If you’re worried about all your old and embarrassing photos, don’t worry, they’re being archived and can be exported in a few months.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly if you want to get involved, they’ve begun accepting signups for the new Bebo, with the first 10,000 signups getting first chance to play with the product, and reserve the username of their choice.
