It’s the voice and phrase we have grown accustomed to over the years and one Irish lad had the fortune of meeting the EA Sports guy. And you can guess what happened next.

Andrew Anthony is the man behind that famous line and Donegal native Sean Crossan had the pleasure to meet his hero and deliver his own version of the famous line.

Sean, who hails from Buncrana but is currently living in Toronto on a work visa, was able to meet the EA Sports guy – or Andrew as he is probably known to friends and family – as a workmate knows him and and arranged the meeting.

Sean asked him to do the voice – probably not an unusual request at this stage – but Andrew suggested that Sean give it a go first, before the master showed the student how it’s really done.

“He’s a great guy,” Sean told us. “It was the best moment of my life.”

For any of you out there wondering how you can perfect the line yourself, Andrew has an online tutorial so you can trot the famous line out nearly as good as the man himself.

We did say nearly.

Sean’s story is JOE’s Eye story of the week, in association with Magnet.

He’s now in with a shot of winning €250 by the end of the month.
