Yet another idea for broadcasters of our native sports…

One of the coolest GAA related stories we’ve covered in a while was the full hurling match captured on a GoPro, check out the awesome footage here.

The guy who made the video is American hurler Robert Haupt and he’s been experimenting with different ways to view the sport and the latest video of his that we’ve found involves a drone camera. Check it out here.

We’ve seen cameras running along cables at World Cups which gives an aerial view but drones are more mobile and have the ability to follow the play.

We’re not sure the people at GAA HQ would be open to the idea but it’s another alternative view of the game we love so much. The training game is a little loose but it gives you a good idea of the possibilities.
