It looks like Amazon might have jumped the gun on how much titles on the Xbox One would cost, as Microsoft have confirmed their software pricing
With the repeated and severe kicking to the groin that Microsoft got from Sony at the E3 conference last week, it looks like there is finally a decent bit of news for those of you who are looking to get the Xbox One.
It seems that the games are not going to be as expensive as Amazon thought, but rather will cost the same as they did on the Xbox 360, which is around $60. That works out at about €45, but we imagine you can lash another tenner on top of that for the Ireland tax and the not-wearing-puffy-director’s-pants tax.
That was confirmed by the lads at Polygon and Kotaku, as well as Digital Spy, so it looks like pretty solid evidence.
This price has only been confirmed for first-party developers though, and third-party games from companies like EA and Ubisoft may yet see a price increase as it’s apparently going to be more expensive to produce them this generation.
