If you haven’t played GTA Online yet because you’re not signed up to Live, then this weekend is your chance to get a taste of the action

This weekend Microsoft are unlocking Xbox Live Gold for everyone. From 12.01am on Friday 4 October until 23.59pm on Sunday 6 October, users can jump in and get involved with multiplayer gaming in Grand Theft Auto Online, FIFA 14, NBA 2K14, or a whole heap of other games at no extra cost.

GTA Online has just launched this week, and with FIFA also out recently there’s no better time to sample everything that Xbox Live Gold can offer for absolutely free this weekend, meaning you can commit a few heists in Los Santos, play a match (and get incredibly frustrated at your opponent’s extra-long celebrations) online, or try out a few of the entertainment apps that are also available, like MUZU TV, Machinima, NHL and Skydrive.

If you want to check out the full low down and all the details, you can head over to the Xbox page and get all the information you need.
