The release date for the Xbox One has finally been confirmed by Microsoft yesterday evening

We hope that you’ve been saving your pennies too, because it’s just around the corner, as the new console will hit the shops on November 22nd.

It makes sense, in particular from an American point of view, as it’s right before the biggest shopping day in their calendar, Black Friday.

The console will hit all the 14 initial launch markets on that day – Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA.

The guys at Microsoft have also promised that they’ve increased the power of the CPU from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ, roughly a 10% increase in CPU performance, which should make the games look even better.

We’re booking the days off with the boss already, who needs a holiday abroad anyway?
