The Premiership has wound up for the season and although World Cup South Africa promises to temporarily fill the football-shaped hole in our lives, it’s not kicking off just yet.
Weekends without football are just not the same. When Saturday and Sunday trips to the pub to watch the Premiership are withdrawn, many fans spend the empty time slot rocking silently in a darkened room. There is only one thing for it – time for a new hobby. Bog snorkeling maybe. Or possibly Elephant Polo.
