TV pick: Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights, Channel 4, 10pm
He was funny in Mock the Week, his dark humour working well in small outbursts. Giving him his own show was a risk, however, and for the most part Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights is more unpleasant than funny.
Boyle rows his boats many miles over the border of good taste, as the Scot meanspiritedly picks easy targets. As horrific as it has been so far, however, we can't look away from the show. Car crash stuff.
Sports pick: Coppa Italia: Parma v Fiorentina, ESPN, 8pm
No Champions League action this week, so the focus turns to cup football - the Italian cup to be specific. Parma and Fiorentina, 16th and 13th in Serie A respectively, take each other on at the Stadio Ennio Tardini for a place in the quarter finals.
