Pick of the Night: Frankie Boyle Live, Channel 4, 10pm

Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle is a man whose sense of humour was judged too dark for the BBC topical panel show Mock the Week. Channel 4 are showing one of his stand-up shows from 2008, filmed at London's Hackney Empire. Well worth for a look for anyone who likes their comedy on the borderline of bad taste.

Sport Pick: Champions League: Ajax v Real Madrid, Setanta Ireland, 7.30pm

While Chelsea take on Zilina and Arsenal face Braga, the undoubted match of the night is the clash between Jose Mourinho's scintillating Real Madrid team and Martin Jol's Ajax. Madrid have already scored 45 goals in all competitions this season. Ajax are the home side, however, and with Madrid already qualified, they have a great chance of overtaking AC Milan in second place in the group.
