Today was a bad day for all Arsenal supporters with Spurs coming from behind to keep the battle for a Champions League place very much alive.

Three goals in six second half minutes from Clint Dempsey, Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale was enough to defeat City and the result has put Spurs level with Chelsea on 61 points. More ominously, they are now just two points adrift of the Gunners in third with a game in hand.
If all that wasn’t bad enough, Man. Utd will wrap up the title tomorrow night should they as expected defeat Aston Villa. That means that the Red Devils would be afforded a guard of honour in their next game, which just happens to be at the Emirates next Sunday.
For Piers Morgan, and all other Gunners, it could be hard to stomach RVP coming back to his old club as a Premier League champion, but that is looking very likely after today’s results.
Sympathy for outspoken Morgan may very well be in short supply.
