All is not well in Westmeath GAA if Twitter is anything to go by

Some current and former Westmeath GAA players are none too happy with the way things are going and they have been letting the world know on Twitter.

Jackie Cahill reports the story in today’s Irish Examiner and we have the tweets that show that Westmeath football boss Pat Flanagan is getting a bit of stick.

Westmeath have played two, lost two so far in Division 2 this season and this week some it seems the ire of those who used to line out has turned on Flanagan, especially over how the media are treated.

On Thursday former panellist Conor Lynam tweeted:

This brought the following responses from another former panellist Denis Corroon.

Before current panellist Tommy Warburton steps in

Earlier in the week, current Westmeath player John Egan, in response to now Aussie based former star John Heslin, had a lash at the way development squads are managed in the county. The tweet has since been deleted.

Flanagan could do with a win against Galway tomorrow while we wait and see what the fallout from this Twitter controversy brings.
