It was fairly inevitable that Alex Ferguson would be the subject of a Gift Grub sketch this morning, but with Keano, Becks, Eric Cantona and Jaap Stam all involved, it didn’t disappoint.
The real-life Roy Keane has endured something of a troubled relationship with his former manager since his controversial departure from Manchester United in 2005, but his Gift Grub character was keen to give him a fitting farewell following his decision to call it a day yesterday.
Keano was joined by regular Gift Grub characters David Beckham and Jaap Stam, while the likes of Gary Neville, Eric Cantona and even Jose Mourinho joined in for a touching, emotional and amusing tribute which includes snippets of actual commentary from some of Fergie’s finest moments at the club.
