Former Manchester United defender Paddy Crerand was interviewed on Newstalk about Alex Ferguson this morning before the official confirmation came through. Let’s just say we hope he’s back tomorrow.
On the Newstalk Breakfast show this morning Oisin Langan spoke to Paddy Crerand, the former Manchester United defender and MUTV pundit about the then rumours about Alex Ferguson’s departure.
We think it is safe to say that Paddy didn’t believe that Fergie was about to walk away, using any number of colourful phrases to tell Oisin, and the rest of the media, why they were so wrong.
Oisin handled it very well and about 30 minutes after the interview finished, Manchester United confirmed Ferguson was retiring.
We really hope Oisin gets Crerand back on tomorrow for Round 2.
