Chinese woman finally gets off the toilet after two-and-a-half years

Who among us has been chastened by their other half for spending too much time in the toilet? Either way, it all pales in comparison to the plight of Chinese woman Mee Yan Leong.

The 58-year-old was feeling quite flushed on the day of March 25, 2009 and sat on the toilet bowl in her bathroom, while completely naked. 902 days later, she decided to get up.

During that time, Leong's 'Super Bowl' became her new home, as she showered just 18 times and ate and slept from the bathroom.

Who made her meals, we hear you ask? Believe it or not, her long suffering husband Kian Ann Ong and her son Jiing Yih had to put up with her toilet-hogging antics.

"They had to come into my flat, hold her down, then wrap her in a towel before using a wheelchair to take her to the hospital,' said the incredibly patient Mr Ong after his decision to call emergency services to bring his wife to a hospital near their Singapore home.

"I didn't understand that was happening, I only felt all the sensations which prevented me from standing or leaving the bathroom," said Mrs Leong after speaking of her completely potty behaviour.
