CNN has asked permission of the Fermanagh County Board to cover the action between Fermanagh and Cavan this Sunday at Brewster Park.

The last of the Ulster quarter-finals takes place this Sunday and CNN, who are not generally noted for their coverage of Gaelic Games, have asked to be allowed permission inside the grounds for the big day.

They are hoping to cover the game while they are in the area for the G8 Summit which takes place in Enniskillen on Monday and Tuesday and Fermanagh PRO Johnny McManus has also said that a Canadian company has shown an interest in attending the game.

“It is quite an expression of interest in seeing what the game means to the local community,” he told the Irish Independent.

The Summit will take place at the Lough Erne Resort and the unprecedented levels of security means that a special traffic plan has been put in place so that spectators travelling to the game will not be affected by security and traffic restrictions.

CNN should perhaps ask Pat Spillane for his thoughts on Ulster football to get a real flavour of our games.
